What should I expect?
Canoe Tripping Level 1 provides an introduction to canoe tripping for those with little or no tripping experience. Emphasis is on wilderness skills and safety. Participants plan their own overnight canoe trip. This is a great course for the first time canoer or those wishing to enhance their wilderness skills. This course covers the theory and practical aspects of Canoe Tripping over a 3 day (2 night) canoe trip. Upon successful completion candidates will be awarded the ORCA Canoe Tripping Level 1 certificate. Prerequisites ORCA Flatwater Level, equivalent certification or comparable skills and experience (with permission of the Course Director). What is included?
